Are You A True Horror Movie Fan - Take This Quiz To Find Out

Updated on December 14, 2012

How Much Do You Really Know About Your Favorite Horror Movies?

The good news is that you're going to find more than just a horror movie quiz here. I love the horror genre and as a result, you'll also find trivia and poll questions related to the darker side of human nature. I hope you enjoy answering questions and learning fun facts about things on the big screen that allow us all to laugh and scream in safety, because that's what you'll find in this lens.

To me there is no better way to learn horror movie trivia than to take a quiz on the subject. The best part of these tests is that you really can't lose. If you get most of the questions right, it makes you feel that you are the king or queen of horror trivia. If you don't do so well, then you'll at least come away from it with a lot more knowledge about your favorite genre. You win even if you lose! Who couldn't be happy with that? Enjoy.

Did you know that the glass breaking during the melting tar man scene at the first of the movie was a complete accident? The heat just happened to cause it to break at the perfect time. Sometimes it's better to be lucky.

The creepy brown-robed dwarfs throughout the film were all played by children. Go figure.

A lot of the tension between Hooper and Quint was real as Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss didn't like each other in real life. In fact, they argued all the time. No acting needed.

This film is often called the bloodiest horror film of all time due to the amount of fake blood used. The final scene alone used 300 liters of it at a rate of five gallons per second.

The film was actually made before Dawn of the Dead was released in Italy with no link to Romero's film. The opening and closing scenes were added to capitalize on the success of Dawn.

Good Music Can Make A Scary Movie Even Scarier

Ever wonder what a movie like Halloween would be like without that creepy theme song? That's how important music is to movies and horror movies in particular. We should all appreciate them a bit more, don't you think?

I wish I knew how to set up a question using songs, but I don't. I would love to have something like that in my horror movie quiz, oh well. To the right are some of my favorites that are sure to give you goosebumps.

The method in which Frankenstein brings the monster to life is never discussed in Shelley's novel. He refuses to tell his methods, so no one else can follow in his footsteps. Despite this fact, lightning is used to do the deed in almost all Frankenstein related movies.

Add Some Scary Flicks To Your Library? - Just be careful who you lend them out to.

Is there any better way to come up with horror trivia than watching the movie itself? Listening to the special features and extras will also give you information that most horror movie fans will love to know. All that aside, it's really nice to have a good DVD collection on your shelf. Anyone else agree?

Monster Bobble Head Doll - Just don't try to take the puzzle box.

I actually got this as a birthday gift from a dear friend of mine who also shares my enthusiasm for the horror genre. On her birthday, I returned the favor by getting them a bobble head of Jason a few months later.

I have had this sitting on my computer for months and I assure you that the head is made to move often. I was really surprised at how well it was made. The detail was also quite detailed. I love the fact that they decided to include the puzzle box. I may have got it as a gift, but this is one gift that will never be re-gifted.
