Funny Weird Things To Do That Will Shock and Surprise Others

Updated on April 30, 2013

Prank Ideas That Are Funny And Weird And Will Give Whoever You Pull Them On Something To Talk About

Bored? Nothing to do? Why not do something weird, strange or funny with a bunch of friends? The activities you find below will certainly fill up an unproductive day with lots of fun or laughter (at least for some).

While it's always better (and wiser) to do these kinds of things with friends, a lot of them could be done solo for your own amusement as well.

Filming your weird fun things to do is always a viable option these days with a camera phone, though I would caution to consider the feelings of others before putting it out on the Internet for everyone to see.

Weird Things To Do When Bored (1-15)

Time passes a lot quicker when doing something interesting.

1-Take out a small notebook and begin taking notes in it while looking at someone intently. You could also do this while two people are carrying on a conversation.

2-Go up to a stranger sitting at a table and take a seat across from them, then challenge them to an arm wrestling match. You might be surprised at how many accept your challenge.

3-Sit down in the middle of a book store and begin to read a book.

4-Try to put a bag of Skittles (or some other low priced item) on layaway.

5-Pay a large bill or purchase in one dollar bills. Imagine paying someone with stacks of ones - priceless. For an even riskier proposition, try paying in quarters, dimes, nickels or pennies.

6-Go into a restaurant and order 200 items off the dollar menu. The response is priceless. I also ask for help to carry everything out to my car. What to do with all the food? Give it away to people who need it, of course.

7-Spontaneous breakout of singing and dancing in public places is always a fun way to give others something to talk about. Best done with a group of friends.

8-Dress up in a creepy costume and go shopping. Doing this in any month other than October will get you interesting results.

9-Fill out some job applications with crazy answers. It's best to do this one out of town, as it may be hard to get a job there after they read it.

10-Look up into the sky in the middle of a crowd to see how many others do the same.

11-Order some pancakes and instead of syrup, use ketchup. Keep a straight face and eat it all.

12-Talk to people using a dubbed voice (like in the old Kung Fu movies).

13-Start up a conversation with someone in a public restroom (in the next stall).

14-Buy some cookies, throw them on the floor and stomp them, then pick them up and put them in the trash. Leave store.

15-Begin sniffing the air in a crowded elevator.

Funny Things To Do To Get A Laugh (16-30)

Sometimes you just have to act a little crazy.

16-Slowly creep closer and closer to someone.

17-Give someone an unnaturally long handshake.

18-Go into a pet store with some slivers of carrots. Go over to fish tanks and begin to eat those orange carrot slivers. Make sure that everyone can see. Some may be fooled into thinking you're eating the gold fish.

19-Meow at someone in a secretive fashion.

20-Wear a sign saying, "Ask me for a penny and I'll give you one." When people ask, give them a penny.

21-While stopped at a red light, get out of your car and start doing the robot. Bonus points if you're actually playing the song Mr. Roboto by Styx.

22-Act as though you are insanely afraid of a mundane object such as paper, aluminum foil or buttons.

23-Go into a restaurant and hand the cashier a small Dixie cup asking them for a Coke with no ice.

24-Gather up some bread, turkey, paper plates, chips, mayonnaise and a spoon in a grocery store. Make yourself a sandwich and eat. Be sure to pay for everything, though.

25-Go into a video store and ask for specific adult titles. Maybe you could even ask a clerk his opinion on a certain film, or share your own opinions about lighting and camera work.

26-Go to your high school reunion dressed as a homeless person.

27-Buy a 100 sheet pack of paper. Take it back for a refund claiming there are only 99 sheets.

28-Go to a nude beach with a camcorder. Stand over those who are sunbathing and begin to record. You might be surprised at how many don't really care.

29-Start up a conversation with someone, but completely avoid eye contact. Instead, focus your eyes on their neck, chest or waist.

30-Go into a gym and start to workout to the song "Man! I Feel Like A Woman".

Even More Fun Crazy Stuff To Do With Your Friends (31-45)

Imaginative things to do until something better comes along.

31-Have a friend of yours dress up like a dead person and act like their dead in the passenger seat of your car. Now take a drive around town.

32-Run up to a stranger and hand them an item. Tell them to keep it safe, and then run off like your being chased.

33-Call into work saying that squirrels stole your shoes. (Make sure your boss has a sense of humor before doing this one.)

34-Mail a random object to someone (beef jerky, pencils, pair of socks, etc.). imaginative

35-Complain to someone that the toilet has too loud of a flush.

36-Buy all the aluminum foil in a store. At checkout, be sure to ask the clerk when the next shipment of aluminum foil will come in.

37-Write a check for .89 cents.

38-Repeatedly make unusual moans while waiting in line.

39-Begin laughing for no apparent reason. When someone asks, "What's so funny?", say that you just had a funny thought.

40-Ask someone you don't know to mash a zit on your face.

41-Buy a large pet rat, put it on a leash and take it for a walk. A large lizard could also work.

42-Try to pay for something with a single silver quarter (a piece of silver).

43-Give strangers outrageous gag gifts (underwear repair kits, etc.). For more gag gift ideas click here.

44-Go into a Burger King and order a Big Mac.

45-When someone asks you if you need help, respond by saying, "Why can't you just leave me alone!"

Always Be Prepared - Always make sure you have clean underwear.

Being prepared while you out fighting boredom is a smart thing to do, but many people don't think about the circumstances dirty underwear will have on their being happy. It has an effect, trust me.

Accoutrements Emergency Underpants

These will work in a fix, but don't count on them for extended durability. Definitely works as a gag gift. One more thing - they're not made for big people.
